My Mission Statement

Clothing is a very personal expression of my client’s values, personality, creativity,

and pride in their appearance.
My Mission Statement is to aim for excellence so that my clients feel at their very best, and to do whatever it takes to meet my clients’ criteria of time, expenses, aesthetics, and goals.
I believe in leaving something much better than I found it.

A Lifetime of Sewing Experience,
My mom taught me the basics of sewing, and, by the time I was a sophomore in high school, I was making all my own clothes. As a young adult, I opened a dressmaking shop with many satisfied customers for several years. I altered and redesigned bridal gowns, created 3-piece tailored women's suits, and also offered alterations services.

Fabric Arts Heritage
My sewing DNA goes back for generations, and I was blessed with a kind, patient, and generous mother. As a volunteer at 82, she made 1,500 lap quilts for "Quilts for Kids", as well as quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! I have designed and created at least 10 quilts, from twin to king size for my own family. I have loved making my grandchildren's clothes and toys. American Girl doll clothes have been a passion of mine, and I created dozens of ensembles for online sales.

The Tools of My Trade
I have been blessed with owning a dream come true. I sewed with a Bernina sewing machine for decades, and inherited my mom's Bernina Artista which I loved to use, especially since she spent many hours doing what she loved. Now I work with my Bernina 780, the top of the line in Swiss sewing computers. My clients drop off, have fittings, and pick up their garments at my Kalispell "shop", preferably by appointment. I am inspired to share this gift with my friends, family, and future friends like you, my clients.

Hi, I'm Susan Ellen Wright, 'Ellen' to my friends and family. I live in the beautiful city of Kalispell in the gorgeous state of Montana, and work out of my apartment, my "shop".
